The PFS salutes the late, great star and character actor DONALD PLEASENCE,, whose bald head and clipped, British accent is instantly recognizable to fans of suspense, action, horror and sci-fi films of the ‘60s, ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s.

Best known as “Dr. Loomis” in director JOHN CARPENTER’S original HALLOWEEN saga, or as JAMES BOND villain “Blofeld” in 1967’s YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE, Pleasance is a legend in the world of Psychotronica, as he worked incessantly – despite a long battle with alcoholism – and over the course of his lengthy career, he also made scores of low-budget thrillers and exploitation flicks like THE MUTATIONS, which is clearly inspired by director TOD BROWNING’S disturbingly classic 1930s B&W exploitation flick FREAKS.

Pleasence plays a scientist and college professor who performs bizarre experiments on his students, in which he tries to genetically cross them with plants! (Never a good idea…)

Also starring DOCTOR WHO himself, TOM BAKER, and the one and only C-List muscle-bound character actor BRAD HARRIS (THE THREE FANTASTIC SUPERMEN, CHALLENGE OF THE TIGER, SO DARLING & SO DEADLY), this sleazy, wild mess of a thriller includes several famous “circus freaks” of the time period in its cast, and is somewhat legendary among aficionados of so-called “trash cinema.”

We’ll show the highest quality, uncut print of this ultra-obscure cult gem known to exist.
