Believe it or not, it's the 50th anniversary of the premier of "What's New Pussycat?" featuring Woody Allen's screenwriting and screen acting debut, Peter O'Toole and Peter Sellers in their glorious prime, and some of the hottest sex symbols of the swingin' '60s (Ursula Andress, Capucine, Paula Prentiss, Romy Schneider).
If that's not enough, how about songs by uber-'60s songwriters Burt Bacharach and Hal David, such as the iconic title song performed by Tom Jones, as well as others performed by Dionne Warwick and Manfred Mann?
If that's not enough, how about the fact that they hired freakin' Frank Frazetta to illustrate their silly poster and album art? (Yes, believe it or not, the above art is by the legendary Frank Frazetta!)
We hope you can come hang out, enjoy the film as it's presented on the big screen in blu-ray fabulousness, and also drop some much-needed dough in Muse's donation box to help pay for a slow month.
See you there!
