Psychotronic Film Society presents "Something is Crawling in the Dark" (Italy 1971)

  • The Sentient Bean 13 E Park Ave Savannah, GA, 31401 United States (map)

FARLEY GRANGER is best remembered as a promising Hollywood leading man who starred in two ALFRED HITCHCOCK features: ROPE and STRANGERS ON A TRAIN, but he also appeared in such underrated movies as THEY LIVE BY NIGHT, THEY CALL ME TRINITY, and the trashy, gruesome ‘80s slasher flick THE PROWLER.

A charismatic and handsome actor whose career never quite took off as it probably should have, he turns in a PHENOMENAL performance in this erotic and terrifying Italian-made thriller which was never released in its original form here in the USA.

In the delightfully spooky and twisted film, Granger plays one of several agitated people thrown together at night by circumstance in an old, eerie mansion which appears to be haunted by a malevolent spirit.

Clearly based (albeit loosely) on the AGATHA CHRISTIE mystery novel AND THEN THERE WERE NONE, this genuinely creepy and well-made Euro-horror flick that has plenty of vibe and visual mood to spare.

It also appears to have served as a key inspiration on the 2003 American film IDENTITY.

Don’t miss what will likely be your only chance to see the complete and uncut version of this very cool little movie as the filmmakers intended: on the big screen (did we mention it’s in spoken English?)!

Until 9PM, the Bean will have special discounts on both Craft Beer and Organic Wine for anyone 21 and older, as well as their usual great selection of award-winning vegetarian cuisine, pastries, desserts and Fair-Trade Coffees and Teas.

We’ll also be raffling off some rare DVDs and unusual prizes from the PFS archives before the show.

So, make sure to bring a few extra bucks with you for Raffle Tickets…

$6 admission for Mature Audiences Only.

Seating at 7:30pm / Show starts at 8:00pm
