Zack Joseph is a 24 year old singer, songwriter, and guitarist based out of Nashville, TN. A Buffalo, NY native, Joseph relocated to Music City in the summer of 2013 to further develop his music career. Joined by upright bassist Chris Kay in 2014, the duo nationally tours the coastal US and is often described as a modern ode to early country, folk and rock&roll.
Joseph’s love of Americana music began in his teen years when his great aunt introduced him to artists such as The Original Carter Family, The Everly Brothers and Hank Williams Sr. At the age of 17, Joseph gave his first public performance and his truly unique sound quickly gained recognition in the greater Buffalo, NY area.
A classical cellist since the age of eight, Joseph entered college as a cello performance major at SUNY Fredonia and graduated with a degree in Music Business. Kay also attended SUNY Fredonia and soon after meeting, the two started performing together on a regular basis.
In May of 2014, Joseph released his debut album entitled “All in Time,” and launched a national tour. Performing over 100 shows in 25 states, Joseph grabbed the attention of audiences and industry professionals alike. Critics have stated that his original music is “a breath of fresh air” (-In Charge Country) and “comes from the heart of the resurgence of Americana roots country/rock&roll” (-KEF America). In 2015 Joseph was selected to perform at the 2015 National Cherry Blossom festival in Washington, D.C. and the 2015 Folk Alliance International Conference in Kansas City, MO. The duo continues to tour and has begun working on their second album.
