Wednesday, Feb. 24, finds the PFS hosting another mystery screening at the Bean. That night they’ll mark the 29th anniversary of the untimely death of one of Bowie’s friends and inspirations, iconic pop artist, experimental filmmaker and proto-reality-TV-celebrity Andy Warhol.
Once more, the exact title of that evening’s programming will be kept under wraps until showtime, but anyone with even a passing interest in Warhol’s art, personality and legacy won’t want to miss it. Will the selection be a film starring Warhol himself, or one that he directed or produced? Will it be a work of fiction or a documentary? Will it simply be about Warhol, with an actor portraying the man?
Who knows? However, it is most certainly one of the above ...
Admission is $8, with an 8 p.m. showtime.
