Well, it’s that time of year again, folks.
Normally, the PFS tries to stay as far away from The Green Insanity which infects downtown Savannah as is humanly possible.
It’s like 28 DAYS LATER crossed with TRUE DETECTIVE, THE HILLS HAVE EYES (the original one, natch), LEAVING LAS VEGAS and a big box of LUCKY CHARMS Cereal.
However, this year, we’re leaping right into the Hot Zone to screen A Bona-Fide Irish-Made Cult Film.
What is it, you may ask?
Well, that’s a secret.
But, like we said, it’s one of the very few cult movies that have been made in Ireland.
And it’s VERY Irish.
It’s also directed by an EXTREMELY ACCLAIMED filmmaker, several years before he came to international fame.
So, to recap:
Irish-made?
Check.
Oscar-nominated director?
Check.
His very first feature film?
Check.
Basically unknown in the USA?
Check.
Difficult subject matter?
Check.
