In 1945 Poland, a young French Red Cross doctor who is sent to assist the survivors of the German camps discovers several nuns in advanced states of pregnancy during a visit to a nearby convent. Directed and co-written by Anne Fontaine , whose previous credits include the controversial Adore, an adaptation of Doris Lessing book, the film may be the most emotionally riveting experience of the year. Its screening will be the film's official regional premiere. 115 minutes. In French, Polish, and Russian, with English subtitles.
