Written by Miriam K. Center and directed by Tom Coleman III, the musical “Johnny Mercer and Me!” is a true story based on the often tormented life of popular American songwriter and singer, told through the eyes of Mercer’s longtime friend and confidante, Maxine. Songs include Mercer hits like Something’s Gotta’ Give, Jeepers Creepers , The Days Of Wine And Roses, Moon River, Blues In The Night, Autumn Leaves, Come Rain or Come Shine,Skylark, One More For The Road, and 8 more familiar Mercer tunes. The play is funny, sad and sentimental and provides a wonderful evening of entertainment.

Tickets are $30. A $1 per ticket Historic Preservation Fee will be included for all tickets purchased. The fee is for the ongoing preservation and maintenance of the Lucas Theatre. VIP tickets are $50, and include a seat for the performance as well as entry into A VIP cocktail party hosted at 45 Bistro from 6:30 – 7:30.
