St. Paul & the Broken Bones bring their take-no-prisoners live show to Savannah’s Lucas Theatre on Saturday, May 6. Led by dynamic front man Paul Janeway, the Birmingham, AL-based band has forged a reputation as a must see act, headlining sold-out shows across the United States and Europe. Tickets for the show go on sale Friday, February 3 at 10 AM.
Sea of Noise, the second full-length album by St. Paul & the Broken Bones, marks a quantum leap for the high-voltage Birmingham, Alabama-based band. Produced by Paul Butler, the group’s sophomore effort is a heart-pounding blend of R&B, cosmic soul, funk and psychedelic rock & roll that demonstrates a deepening and broadening of the unit’s musical reach and lyrical concerns.
The Broken Bones’ 2013 debut LP, Half the City, featured Janeway’s impassioned singing atop a blend of ‘60s soul fire and otherworldly grooves inspired by the likes of Sly Stone, David Bowie and Prince. The album received critical acclaim from outlets including NPR, Rolling Stone and Esquire.
Tickets for this performance are $38.50. A $1 per ticket Historic Preservation Fee will be included for all tickets purchased. The fee is for the ongoing preservation and maintenance of the Lucas Theatre. Available online or by calling 912-525-5050. You may also pick up tickets in person at the Savannah Box Office at 216 E. Broughton Street.
