The Kingdom is ready for your arrival. The day of which King Lear has been warning is fast approaching. Be warned. This is your only chance for survival. King Lear has ruled his followers for decades, promising to guide them through the End of the World. As the New Millennium peeks over the horizon, the King surprises everyone with a new proclamation, one that threatens to destroy the very fabric of the society he has built.

Savannah Shakes proudly invites you to come experience our eighth production, Shakespeare's greatest tragedy: KING LEAR. While we've set the action in the uncertain times of the late 1990's, it is still Shakespeare's same story of madness, disarray, and societal breakdown with the Bard's immortal words on full display. King Lear does contain some violent content some parents may not find suitable for younger audiences. The production will utilize gunfire, loud noises, and flashing lights. Please be advised of these effects when you make your reservations.

When? November 9, 11, 16, & 18 at 7:30 PM. Box Office opens at 6:30 PM; House opens at 7:00 PM. November 10 & 17 at 2:00 PM. Box Office opens at 1:00PM; House opens at 1:30PM

Where? We're so happy to be working in tandem with Savannah Repertory Theatre. All shows will take place at their space, the PLAYShop at 980 Industry Dr. Savannah, GA 31415.
