A note from Payne: Music is something I sort of fell into in the last five years. I found myself being overwhelmed and inspired by different people and situations, and feeling the need to tell those stories through song. Since then, it's been all about moving forward, taking the next step, and enjoying what music has to offer. Getting lost in lyrics and melodies is now one of my favorite past times, but performing with friends takes things to a whole new level. I am so fortunate to find myself in an incredible music community. I am blown away by the talent surrounding me.

A statement from the artist: I make these stream of consciousness images with my blade utilizing magazines spanning 50 years back from many countries. My only goal in these images is excitement in color and composition, also to make people laugh sometimes. The resulting images are surreal, kaleidoscopic and often comical. I feel this method of collaging best represents the simple spontaneous thought process we all have access to. Sometimes we have no idea why we like the images we do, and that’s the beauty and mystery of art. Whether it is simple or complex.
