Born in Memphis, TN on November 30, 1989, singer/songwriter Marleaux Jones (born Marlow Christopher Seavers) has been involved with music since childhood. Even though he had not started out singing in his church choir, Jones was heavily involved in school talent shows and his high school's concert and show choir. Drawing both vocal and musical inspiration from classic R&B acts, such as Donny Hathaway, Dru Hill, and Donell Jones, Jones worked immensely to perfect his craft and vocal skills. Unable to obtain financial support for his college eduaction, Jones enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2008, where he served 3 years as a Food Service Specialist (cook). As both a soldier serving his country and an unknown singer, Jones continued to work towards being discovered. While deployed in Joint Base Balad, Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom/Enduring Freedom (2010-2011), Jones was fortunate enough to meet R&B singer, Tank, and the famed R&B girl group, En Vogue, during their overseas concerts for the troops. Furthermore, he received the rare chance to come onstage with En Vogue and sing to them, resulting in a massive applause. While in Iraq, he began writing recording both covers and original songs in a fellow soldier and friend's room, which had been turned into a makeshift studio. Although Jones had written his own material before, this particular setting allowed him to hone his skills as a songwriter by writing for other aspiring singers and rappers that came into the studio. When he got out of the military in 2011, he continued to write and record music. Jones got the chance to perform one of his original songs at the South Carolina Music Awards' Meet-and-Greet. Currently pursing a business degree, Jones is the newly-joined member of the band Infallible Funk.
