The Psychotronic Film Society of Savannah presents its first-ever "Pinky Violence" screening in the 15 years of its existence.
Here's the original ADULTS-ONLY trailer, which is only in Japanese (don't worry - our uncut print has English Subtitles):

Not hep to Pinky Violence films?
For lack of a better definition, in layman’s terms this means "sexed-up, bad girl action films" made by Japan's Toei studios from the late 1960s through the late 1970s. However, one other Japanese movie studio made a handful of Pinky Violence films, and that was Toho Studios.
Their trilogy of "Rica" films about a "mixed-blood girl" who is part American, part Japanese and all trouble are especially enjoyable. This week's featured PFS selection, "Rica," was made in 1972 and is the first in that series, which was very popular in Japan for decades, but not really even known in the USA until around 2007.
The plot:
Rika Aoki, playing a character of the same name (Americanized to "Rica"), stars as the ballsy leader of a delinquent girl gang. After accidentally killing a yakuza, she gets sent to juvie. Then her gang gets kidnapped. The plot of this thing flies in every direction. It's insane just how much wacky and unpredictable action occurs. It never stops to take a breath, just rushing madly toward its insane climax.
Again, our full, uncut theatrical print includes English Subtitles (while the trailer above does not). Recommended for Mature Viewers ONLY, who appreciate the kind of gloriously trashy cinema that Quentin Tarantino salivates over and mercilessly rips off.
8PM showtime / $8 admission
Discounts on craft beer and organic wine during the movie, and a full, award-winning vegetarian and fair-trade menu available as well.
