Formed in 2009 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Watchhouse (formerly known as Mandolin Orange) are songwriter Andrew Marlin (vocals, mandolin, guitar, banjo) and Emily Frantz (vocals, violin, guitar). More than a decade down the road, a half-dozen albums, and a family of their own to contend with, Watchhouse makes beautiful, downhome, contemporary acoustic folk music together with deceptive ease. In recent years, the duo has toured throughout the US and Europe including appearances at Austin City Limits, South by Southwest, Edmonton Folk Music Festival, Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Newport Folk Festival, Pickathon, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, Rooster Walk, and MerleFest.
