CinemaSavannah presents: Wild Tales (Argentina, 2014)

  • Savannah Cultural Arts Center 201 Montgomery Street Savannah, GA, 31401 United States (map)

This CinemaSavannah screening is part of the city-wide Reclaiming America celebration of Latin art and culture that began with the August 11 art exhibit opening at SCAC. Organized by SoyXSoy, the show is open to the public and will run through September 23.

Winner of over 50 festival awards and prizes, Wild Tales was the #1 commercial and critical hit in Latin and South America in 2014. Consisting of six separate stories, each exploring human behavior under extreme distress, it has been called the best omnibus dark comedy ever made. Dark and funny, lighthearted and cynical, Wild Tales is always entertaining and uncompromisingly original, one of the top ten films of the last decade.  As Sight and Sound put it, “each morsel of well-rounded, perfectly structured storytelling becomes part of a coherent, exuberant whole, linked as much as anything by a potent political anger directed against inequality and abuse, be it emotional, physical or economic.”

Box office opens at 6. Tix are $10, cash preferred
