Join us on stage at Tybee Post Theater for Every Brilliant Thing, a comedy about depression and the lengths we go to for those we love. This play has become a smash hit worldwide and has been performed in over 20 countries, featuring just one actor onstage and a very immersive experience for the audience. Every Brilliant Thing is a heart wrenching and hilarious one-person play that will have your belly laughing and your eyes brimming. Based on true and untrue stories and told with the help of the audience, it is a life-affirming story of how to achieve hope through focusing on the smallest miracles of life.
ABOUT THE ACTORS
Christian Delcroix*, a recent Savannah transplant and proud member of Actors Equity with Broadway credits that include the The Book of Mormon, South Pacific, and Follies.
Shawna Peña-Downing, a multi-disciplinary artist from Kansas City, Missouri, where her credits included The Coterie, Metropolitan Ensemble Theatre, Mesner Puppet Theater, Metropolitan Ensemble Theatre, Theatre for Young America, and KC MeltingPot Theatre. Shawna was last seen in SSC’s production of Spring Awakening.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
DJ Queenan hails from the Jersey Shore and has been directing theatre since 1985. His performance experiences include the NYC Dramathon, Vivianna, a new musical at the Playwright’s Guild in NYC & as a cabaret singer at the Duplex in Greenwich Village. After completing a degree at SCAD, DJ worked as the Program Director for the City of Savannah’s Cultural Arts Theatre for which he won Connect Savannah’s “Best Director” 2 years running, as well as founding Bangers & Mash Theatreworks. Most recently he has been the Director of Fine & Performing Arts for the Savannah Country Day School and guest director for the Tybee Arts Association. DJ has a BFA in Media & Performing Arts (SCAD) & an MA in Theatre Production (CWU).
Every Brilliant Thing is being produced in conjunction with Suicide Awareness Month and aims to acknowledge those affected by suicide, raise awareness, and connect individuals to treatment services.
