Nominated for Best Picture at the Locarno Film Festival and for two 2024 Swiss Film Prizes, Rivière is a feature debut by a Franco-Swiss director Hugues Hariche who has made Savannah his home for the last six years. The film opened in France last month. He is currently working on Lost Paradise, a neo-western post-apocalyptic drama.
Rivière, a coming-of-age drama, tells a story of 17-year-old Manon, who leaves the Swiss Alps to search for her missing father and pursue her goal of becoming a professional hockey player. In French with English subtitles. 104 minutes.
