CinemaSavannah presents Paris: Live Concert

  • Savannah Cultural Arts Center 201 Montgomery Street Savannah, GA, 31401 United States (map)

For the first time in our 22-year history, instead of a regular film screening, CinemaSavannah will present a live music event. The star of the concert is a

16-year old Paris (she will turn 17 two days before her performance), a vocal sensation, raised here in Savannah. Naturally gifted and self-taught, Paris speaks three languages (her mother is Cuban and her father French) and currently divides her time between Savannah, where she continues her education, and Havana, where she practices her music and sings at major venues around the city. Even though she sang at private events and at the Rancho Alegre Cuban restaurant, her concert at Savannah Cultural Arts Center will be her first public theater-stage performance. Paris will be accompanied by a quintet of some of the best jazz musicians in the area: Aaron Lehrian, Kenneth Mason, Kirk Lee, Stutz Wimmer, and Robert Saunders, all of whom are excited to perform for her. I hope many of you will find time to support Paris’s talents and join those enchanted by her voice and irresistible charm. Tickets are $20 (most to cover the venue costs including the rehearsal and musicians’ pay) and already on sale at www.cinemasavannah.com. You can also scan the QR code included on the attached poster to purchase them more directly.  You will be receiving regular updates as we draw closer to the event. The musical program, created by Paris herself,  should last about 75 minutes.
