Enjoy Shakespeare's witty battle of the sexes, presented by Savannah Shakes as Katherine 'the curst", played by Deanna Greif, is pursued and "tamed" by the madcap Petruchio, played by Zachary Burke. Set in post WWII America, the boys are back from war and ready to settle down. While several of the men are in a battle for the hand of Kate's younger sister Bianca, their father has forbid her to be married before a husband is found for Katherine. The only problem is that she is renowned for her sharp, shrewish tongue and spiteful humor. Petruchio takes up the challenge, and proceeds in the most questionable of ways to "tame" his new wife. With a cast of characters and twisted side plots fit for a Marx Brothers skit, this is a classical romantic comedy not to be missed! Directed by Sheila Lynne, Performances are July 10, 11, 17 & 18 at 8pm, and 12 & 19 at 3pm, Muse Arts Warehouse, 703D Louisville Rd.
