New Date! That's right! We've got a special screening of the Burt Reynold's romp, "Gator!" All you Tybeans who were here in the mid-'70s remember when Burt as Gator McKlusky, Lauren Hutton and Jerry Reed all kicked up a little sand on Tybee's beach, blew up a phone booth on Tybrisa and ditched a car in the Savannah River! Well, we're bringing it all back, and coaxing all you young 'ens (at the time) who were extras in the film up on stage to tell your Hollywood tales!
A few locals even had speaking roles! Remember the late Mayor Rousakis as the Ocean Plaza manager? All those Hosti girls were in it! And Albert Weis Jr. was the boy in the phone booth! Our own Kim Trammell's daddy, Tom Trammell, was an extra! The Jenkins High School marching band had a big role in the town square scene! Oh, the stories we'll tell! This one's for you, Tybee!
Thursday, Nov. 10, 7 pm. Tickets $7 adults, $5 children
